DSA Virtual Learning Welcome – 1 week to go!

Welcome and welcome back!
Thank you for your continued patience as we work along with DeKalb County School District (DCSD) to refine plans for the beginning of the school year. As you know, we will be opening virtually on August 17th, 2020.
Below are a few details that I would like to share with you and some links to information that we would like to collect from families to better cater to the needs of our students. More updates will be shared via the DeKalb Schools Website and our social media pages.
Virtual Learning Needs Assessment:
As we prepare to begin the year virtually, we seek information from students to assess technology needs at this time. If you have not already done so, please complete the form below for each student in your home attending DSA. Please complete the form by Monday, August 10th. We will schedule a staggered pickup for students to receive remote learning materials on August 12th and 19th (backup date).
Registration

If your student is new to DeKalb, please visit www.dekalbschoolsga.org/online-registration to register.
Once you receive confirmation from Online Registration, please email our registrar, Ms. Teresa Smith-McClary at teresa_mcclary@dekalbschoolsga.org to complete your registration. Students who are coming from DeKalb schools have been transferred to our roster.

  1. Good afternoon. How was this information disseminated? We (the parents in this household) have not received any emails regarding registering for virtual learning, or schedules, or anything else. I just happened across it because I was going to email you. Have I missed emails? Is there something I should have done? Please note: this household does not have Facebook, so if information is being posted there we will not have access to it. Thanks.

    1. Hi. This information was disseminated via Infinite Campus messenger, Instagram, and Facebook. After a search, I see that your work email is the primary email address provided. Please check your spam folder on both email addresses. If you still do not see anything, please let me know. george_h_greene@dekalbschoolsga.org

    1. Hello Mr. Smith, you have been added to your student’s Infinite Campus profile and should now be receiving emails from IC messenger. If you are still having issues, please reach out to myself or our registrar, Ms. McClary.

  2. Hello! I’ve emailed Mrs. McClary twice and to no avail. We’ve been attempting to update our residential address.
Should we be contacting someone else?

    Mrs. Jones

    1. Hello! Please try her again via email (teresa_mcclary@dekalbschoolsga.org) or via phone on Wednesdays from 9 am – 3pm (678.676.2502 or 2506)
